The Property

Celebrating its centenary year in 2012, Strawberry Patch is a classic weatherboard mountain cottage with all the grace and style of its era. Nestled amongst lush gardens, it is a private, romantic retreat for one or two couples, or a convenient holiday getaway for a family.

Leura Mall is just a two minute easy stroll away, so you’re perfectly positioned to enjoy the best the Blue Mountains have to offer.

Living Area

As you enter the cottage the cosy and inviting lounge room welcomes you in, its warm gas log fire and plush lounges promising snug and warm nights. The complimentary port, wine and chocolate will go down well as you settle down by the fire.

A large flat screen television with DVD and Austar is there if a movie beckons, while a hi-fi with a choice of CDs will set the mood – and it also sends music to the discreet ceiling speakers in the spa bathroom.

Next to the kitchen and overlooking the cottage garden is the dining room, where you can enjoy a sunny breakfast or hearty dinner, warmed by the slow-combustion wood fire in the kitchen. Both kitchen and dining room floors are heated, just perfect for keeping your toes warm and toasty.

Bedrooms

The bedrooms at Strawberry Patch are pure romance – mahogany four-poster beds dressed with the finest linen and Egyptian cotton – with a queen sized bed in the master bedroom and a double bed in the second bedroom.

Sheepskin electric blankets and plump pillows will ensure you have a warm and peaceful night’s sleep.

Bathrooms

The large French-inspired bathroom at Strawberry Patch will delight you. The double spa bath, set in a bay window overlooking the garden, is the perfect way to start (or finish) a romantic evening.

Under-floor heating, dimmed lights, candles, fine toiletries, soft fluffy towels and Egyptian cotton bathrobes ensure that this room will be one of the highlights of your stay!

Kitchen and Dining Room

Everything you need to prepare and enjoy delicious meals is provided at Strawberry Patch. The Tasmanian oak kitchen is equipped with stove top, oven, microwave, full size fridge/freezer and a dishwasher to take care of cleaning up. The cookware and serving ware are all top quality so you won’t miss the comforts of home.

Quality, locally-sourced breakfast provisions are provided including fresh bread, ground coffee, a choice of teas, juice, milk, jam, marmalade, butter and cereals.

The kitchen leads on to a light and bright dining area overlooking the courtyard and garden through French doors. During the evening, the lights can be dimmed so that candles and the warm glow of the slow-combustion log fire create an intimate mood for a romantic dinner.

Entertainment

The sitting room has a television with a DVD player and selection of DVDs, as well as a hi-fi (also providing music to the spa bathroom) and a wide range of books and games.

Of course, you may find that simply relaxing by the gas log fire with a complimentary glass of wine or port is the perfect night’s entertainment!
