Leura Rose was built in 1914 as a mountain retreat for a wealthy Sydney merchant. Now, almost a century later, you can enjoy its warm ambience, luxurious appointments and leafy gardens on your own mountains getaway.

You’ll have the whole house to yourself so you can unwind in the indulgent spa bathroom (with its own gas log fireplace), cook up a feast in the huge country-style kitchen, or just kick back on the Chesterfield lounges – whatever takes your fancy.

The Property

Set high on the street, Leura Rose has district views from the front veranda while offering seclusion and privacy thanks to its lush, leafy gardens. Once inside, you’ll be welcomed by the warm timber joinery, classic period furnishings and luxurious inclusions.

Living and Dining Areas

The large lounge and dining room with its plush sofas, gas log fireplace and relaxing ambience is the perfect place to spend a romantic evening.  On your arrival you’ll find complimentary port, wine and chocolates waiting for you.

Later you could retire to the drawing room, where leather Chesterfield lounges, soft lighting and a collection of beautiful old books invite you to enjoy a quiet interlude as the original owners would have done a century ago.

Bedrooms

The two luxurious bedrooms feature mahogany four-poster beds dressed with the finest linen, while soft lighting and candles complete the romantic mood.

Soft pillows, fluffy duvets and electric blankets on the queen-sized beds will ensure a warm and restful night’s sleep.

Bathrooms

The main spa bathroom at Leura Rose may well be the highlight of your stay. Totally decadent, it features under-floor heating, extra-wide shower, a double spa bath overlooking the leafy garden and a warm gas log fireplace to set a tone of romance and relaxation. Ceiling speakers play your choice of music and when you’re done, slip into the soft bathrobe and slippers provided and you’ll feel totally relaxed and refreshed.

A second bathroom provides shower with double corner spa bath and full bathroom facilities including quality complimentary toiletries.

Gourmet Kitchen and Dining Areas

Leura Rose’s kitchen gives you everything you need to prepare great meals during your stay. With mahogany joinery, marble bench tops and quality appliances it’s a luxury experience in itself. The kitchen was featured in a recent episode of My Kitchen Rules, the popular reality cooking show.

The large farmhouse-style dining table provides a second area for dining, while the sunny north-facing patio adjoining the kitchen is perfect for al-fresco meals to the sound of birdsong. A barbecue is also at the ready should you wish to cook outside.

Entertainment

Everything you need for a fun night in is provided at Leura Rose. If snuggling down to watch a movie is your thing, the large flat screen television with DVD and Austar pay-TV in the lounge room will fit the bill. A CD stereo fills the room with music (and also sends music to the spa bathroom) and a wide selection of books and board games provide relaxation and fun on a rainy day or quiet night in.
